PORT ST. LUCIE – Port St. Lucie police on Oct. 28 are investigating in the St. Lucie River following a missing persons report a day earlier, a police spokesperson said.

Police are in the area of the 700 block of Northeast Emerson Street “regarding a missing adult who may have wandered into a body of water,” police stated via social media.

‘Extremely dangerous’: Driver jailed after crashes on U.S. 1, sheriff’s office states

Sgt. Dominick Mesiti, police spokesperson, stated a 37-year-old woman was reported on Oct. 27 as having left her home in the area. The woman, Mesiti said, has a history of doing so.

Police reported the agency’s dive team is at the scene, which is north of Prima Vista Boulevard and east of Northwest Airoso Boulevard.
