April 29, 2026 – Smokey Bones Bar & Fire Grill, a barbecue chain, has unexpectedly closed locations around the country including a restaurant in Clearwater (at 2693 Gulf to Bay Blvd.). According to the Clearwater establishment’s website, the restaurant is now “closed” Monday through Sunday. FAT Brands, Inc., the owner of Smokey Bones, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in January.
