Jayhawks win 3rd tournament
The Gulf Coast Jayhawks are making a strong name for themselves on the local hardwood. Based out of the Seminole and Madeira Beach area, the middle school and JV travel basketball program recently captured its third tournament championship, continuing an impressive run of success.
The team travels mostly locally for tournaments but also competes outside the county on occasion, giving players valuable experience against strong competition. Playing in almost 70 games last year, the Jayhawks are looking to surpass that number this season. More than just wins and trophies, the Jayhawks pride themselves on teaching character both on and off the court. With a family-style camaraderie, players are encouraged to grow as teammates, leaders, and individuals while enjoying the game in a fun but competitive environment.
The program is always looking for motivated youth players who want to improve their skills and be part of something special in the community. Please help support the Jayhawks and follow the team on Instagram @gulfcoastjayhawks.
