Missing 37-year-old woman found alive in St. Lucie River marsh, police say

  • October 29, 2025

Port St. Lucie police have found a missing 37-year-old woman whom they were searching for on Tuesday.

Police offered an update late Tuesday night, saying that while drone units were searching the area, an officer heard a woman yelling for help.

A K-9 officer located the woman, Kelly Marie Catrambone, in the marsh of the St. Lucie River, with assistance from a private boat captain.

Police said she was stuck in 2 feet of water near an island of mangroves and could not move. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Investigators do not know how long she was in the river.

Investigators searched the area and the waterway in the 700 block of Northeast Emerson Street, and the Dive Team was on the scene. The K-9 Unit and drones were deployed to the area.

Port St. Lucie police told WPTV reporter Tyler Hatfield that Catrambone lives in that neighborhood and was reported missing to police on Monday.

Police said they got a call Tuesday morning that led them to the 700 block of NE Emerson St., and an embankment leading to the St. Lucie River.
