The new Whataburger is on West Brandon Boulevard.

BRANDON, Fla. — A third Whataburger location is officially open in the Tampa Bay area.

The Brandon Whataburger opened on Thursday, April 30, at 1426 W Brandon Boulevard to crowds of burger lovers lining up outside the door.

This comes on the heels of new locations in Largo and Lutz that opened earlier this year. The Largo opening marked Whataburger’s return to the Tampa Bay area after more than 15 years.

To celebrate, the Texas-based chain welcomed the community with festivities and giveaways. The first 80 guests in line and the first 20 cars in the drive-thru received a “Whatamerch” swag bag.

Whataburger plans to open three more Florida locations by the end of 2026, including in Orlando and Fort Myers, with additional Tampa Bay-area locations coming in 2027. There are currently 50 locations statewide.

The new Brandon location is open 24/7 with both dine-in and drive-thru service. Online ordering through the Whataburger app and website will be available in the coming weeks.
