Two Orlando attractions are offering freebies to veterans and teachers.

SeaWorld Orlando is giving free one-day admission for U.S. military veterans and up to three guests as a thank you for their service through its “Waves of Honor program,” the company said in a press release.

“We are incredibly grateful to all members of our military for their commitment and dedication to serving our country,” said Marc Swanson, CEO of Orlando-based United Parks & Resorts, SeaWorld’s parent company.

“The Waves of Honor program extends a small token of our appreciation to those who are serving or who have served. We look forward to welcoming military service members, veterans and their families for a fun-filled day in one of our parks.”

To get the tickets, veterans must register for the tickets by May 10 at www.WavesofHonor.com. The deadline to redeem the tickets is June 30. Service members and their direct dependents must have a valid active military ID, SeaWorld also said. Those who qualify include “service members and veterans include active, retired, honorably separated officers and enlisted personnel of the U.S. military.”

In addition, SeaWorld Orlando is offering a ticket sale for veterans who can buy 50% off a single-day ticket for up to six guests.

For teachers, the new high-tech Glow or Go Orlando escape room at the Florida Mall said with every group ticket purchase, a teacher can join for free.

“By inviting teachers to step away from the classroom and into an interactive, high-energy environment, Glow or Go aims to celebrate their impact with an experience centered on creativity, collaboration, and fun,” the company said in a press release.

The offer is good from May 1 to May 31 and teachers are required to show proof of employment and a Florida Department of Education Certificate Number or valid photo ID.

The escape room is described online as a “new style of escape room. Race through five immersive rooms, solving physical and logical challenges as a team. Each room features timed puzzles that test mind and body.”
