The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 33-year-old woman on multiple animal cruelty charges after deputies say she was captured on surveillance video violently abusing a dog. The incident occurred on April 30, 2026, at approximately 8:20 p.m.
According to investigators, Real Time Crime Center cameras observed Imania Davis throwing a dog twice with enough force to cause the animal to strike the asphalt. The video also showed Davis kicking the dog during the incident.

Deputies responded to the scene and took Davis into custody. She was arrested on six counts of Aggravated Cruelty to Animals.
The dog was transported to a veterinarian for treatment, where it was diagnosed with a broken leg. Authorities said the animal is now recovering and continues to receive care.
The investigation remains ongoing.
