JetBlue has announced new nonstop service between Indianapolis and Fort Lauderdale as part of a major expansion at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
INDIANAPOLIS — JetBlue Airways is expanding its network with new nonstop service between Indianapolis and Fort Lauderdale.
The Indianapolis route is one of 11 new destinations JetBlue is adding from Fort Lauderdale, a move the company says is aimed at giving travelers more options following the shutdown of Spirit Airlines.
JetBlue says the new nonstop service gives central Indiana travelers a direct connection to South Florida, providing easy access to Fort Lauderdale’s beaches, cruise port, and international connections across Latin America and the Caribbean.
“We’re stepping up for Fort Lauderdale to ensure the availability of air service in this market,” said Marty St. George, president of JetBlue. “Our focus is simple: make it easier for customers to stay connected with the people and places that matter, while delivering the service, comfort and value they expect from JetBlue,” George added.
Allegiant, Southwest and Frontier Airlines also offer nonstop flights from Indianapolis to Fort Lauderdale.
