An estimated 1,800 Floridians are expected to recieve dental care at no cost.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Florida Dental Association Foundation (FDA Foundation) announced that its annual Florida Mission of Mercy event will be coming to the First Coast in May.

The FDA Foundation describes the event as a way for an estimated 1,800 Floridians to receive “relief from the pain and infection of untreated dental disease — at no cost to the patients.” In 2025, the event was held in Daytona Beach, where the foundation says that more than 1,500 patients recieved care valued at around $2 million.

This year’s event is said to include a Veteran’s First initiative, which allows local veterans to pre-register and recieve priority care.

The event is scheduled at the Prime Osborn Convention Center on Friday, May 15, and Saturday, May 16. The event is on a first-come, first-served basis, so patients are encouraged to arrive early.
