TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – From baby wipes to blankets, the Tallahassee Police Department announced it collected hundreds of items for the second annual Babies, Bottles, and Badges drive.
The police department said all items will be donated to Tallahassee families through local organizations like the Refuge House, Brehon Family Services, Chelsea House, Camelot Community Care and NWF Health Network.
TPD said the drive was established by TPD Chief Lawrence Revell, who was inspired after he received an outpouring of support from the community years ago when his family welcomed triplets in addition to their two young children.
“When our community rallies behind efforts like this, it reminds us that kindness is still at the core of who we are and strengthens the bonds that make Tallahassee such a special place to call home,” Chief Revell said in a press release.
