Lee County Electric Cooperative is planning a new West Cape Coral Service Center to support utility operations and storm response across Southwest Florida, with a groundbreaking set for May 20. The 12,000-square-foot, two-story facility will be built at 3251 SW 20th Ave., next to the West Cape Substation in Cape Coral. LCEC officials said the project is intended to improve operational efficiency, service delivery and restoration response times as Cape Coral continues rapid population growth. The utility is partnering with GCM Contracting Solutions on the project.
