CAPE CORAL, Fla. (WINK)—A former Ida S. Baker High School teacher was arrested after allegations surfaced that he kissed a student and communicated with her outside of school.
According to the Cape Coral Police Department, school administration reported on February 2 that a student disclosed her former teacher, Casimiro Razo, had made comments about her appearance, passed her handwritten notes, obtained her phone number, and communicated with her outside of school. The student said Razo would pass her multiple notes nearly every day.
The student also reported that in October 2025, Razo asked her to stay after class, led her into a classroom storage room, and kissed her on the lips. Phone records corroborated the student’s report.
Based on the investigation, a warrant was issued for Razo’s arrest. On May 7, just before 7 a.m., he was arrested by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office on a felony warrant.
Razo was taken to the Lee County Jail on one count of sex offense against a student by an authority figure.
The Lee County School District suspended the employee in February after learning of the allegations and prohibited his return to campus pending the investigation.
