Courtney Campbell Causeway will have 2 overnight closures

CLEARWATER, Fla. — Drivers who use the Courtney Campbell Causeway late at night and early in the morning should take note of an upcoming closure.

On May 11 and 12, all lanes on the Courtney Campbell Causeway will close nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., weather permitting.

Drivers will have to use alternate routes, including State Road 580 and the Howard Frankland Bridge. 

Warning signs and message boards will be used to assist motorists traveling through the area.

Drivers should use caution while traveling through the work zone and remain alert for construction workers.

These temporary nighttime closures are necessary for crews to perform overhead bridge work as part of the Courtney Campbell Causeway’s pedestrian overpass project in Clearwater.
