The Western Illinois Valley Conference baseball and softball tournaments begin today (Monday) with quarterfinal and semifinal games at Future Champions Sports Complex in Jacksonville.
In baseball, No. 4 seed Calhoun will play No. 5 Triopia at 4:30 p.m. on Field 1. The winner will play No. 1 seed Routt in the semifinals at 6:30 p.m. Monday night on Field 1. No. 2 seed Brown County will take on No. 3 Carrollton in the other semifinal game at 6:30 p.m. Monday on Field 2.
The two semifinal winners will play for the WIVC Tournament championship on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. on Field 1.
In softball, No. 4 seed Greenfield-Northwestern will play No. 5 West Central in the quarterfinals at 4:30 p.m. on Field 5. The winner will advance to take on No. 1 seed Triopia Monday night at 6:30 p.m. on Field 5. No. 2 seed Calhoun will play No. 3 Carrollton in the other semifinal game at 6:30 p.m. Monday on Field 3.
