Two men are facing serious charges months after a Miami Beach woman said she was drugged and sexually battered in her apartment, police said.
Geron Gjata, 34, and Frank Christian Sanders, 48, are facing charges including sexual battery by multiple perpetrators, sexual battery with no serious bodily injury, Miami-Dade jail records showed.
Gjata, of Chicago, was arrested Tuesday, while Sanders, of Miami Beach, was arrested Wednesday.

According to arrest reports, the alleged incident happened back on April 2, when the alleged victim went to a rape treatment center after she reported being drugged and sexually battered by both men.
She said she’d been out drinking and partying with Gjata, who she’s known for a few years, before he drove her to her apartment, the reports said.
They drank at her apartment then walked to a couple nearby bars and kept drinking, and she said they were walking back to her apartment when they encountered Sanders, who invited them back to his apartment, the reports said.
She said they continued to drink and consumed cocaine, and she said she woke up in bed wearing no shirt and a pair of men’s shorts and felt “vaginal pain consistent with sexual intercourse,” the reports said.
The woman said she believed she was drugged with ketamine because she remembered Sanders mentioning it, but said she doesn’t use it recreationally, the reports said.
She said she was “out cold” but determined she was sexually battered.
Based on statements made by the alleged victim and Gjata and Sanders, detectives “determined that the victim was unable to consent to sexual activity described by all parties,” the reports said.
Gjata appeared before a judge on Wednesday, who appointed him a public defender and denied him bond. Sanders was expected to appear in court on Thursday.
