A family’s home in Cape Coral was raided by federal officers and cameras were covered during a Department of Homeland Security raid to serve a warrant Thursday morning.This happened at a home on Chiquita Boulevard around 6 a.m. Gulf Coast News spoke to Amy Giancola, who owns the home and said they were awakened by Homeland Security putting a hole through their door.Giancola said she did not receive a warrant until a hole was put in the door. Homeland Security had a warrant to detain Joseph Giancola Jr., her father, but it’s unclear for what.The video from cameras in the home shows men in military grade protection armed with guns entering the home. Giancola said one of the men then put a piece of tape over the camera. She said one of the cameras was ripped out, and the others were turned to face the wall.Giancola said she, her wife, her father and her four children were all taken out of the house.
