Boomer the K-9 leads Florida deputies to missing 96-year-old in woods

LUTZ, Fla. (CBS12) — A 96-year-old man was safely found after going missing, all thanks to the efforts of Florida deputies and their remarkable K-9, Boomer.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said that on May 9, Ray Cornett was reported missing from his home in the 18000 block of 4th Street Southeast in Lutz.

Multiple specialty units sprang into action searching the area, but it was Boomer who led the deputies into a wooded area just a short distance from Cornett’s home.
