The shooting happened shortly before 6 a.m. Tuesday at the smoke shop off Northwest 27th Avenue near Northwest 45th Street.

According to an arrest report, Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the area after receiving a ShotSpotter alert of five gunshots.

When they arrived, they found the victim, identified as 50-year-old Abdul S. Rolle, on the floor of the smoke shop with multiple apparent gunshot wounds.

Rolle was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center where he died from his injuries.

According to the report, Flanders had gone to the shop to buy narcotics and after purchasing them, Flanders and Rolle got into an argument over the quality of the drugs.

Flanders exited the shop, pulled out a gun and shot at the front door of the business, hitting Rolle, the report said.

The report said the shooting was captured on surveillance footage from a nearby business.

When Flanders was taken into custody, she denied shooting Rolle before she was booked into jail, the report said.
