STUART — A brush fire broke out in Stuart in the early morning of May 11.

Crews arrived at 4 a.m. in the area of Southeast Federal Highway and Southeast Osprey Street in Stuart to try to stop the spread of the fire.

According to Martin County Fire Rescue, the fire burned a quarter of an acre and had heavy fuel. Firefighters extinguished the fire.

No one was hurt and no structures or power lines were in danger, according to MCFR.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
