Cape Coral ranked third nationally for inbound moving demand in an analysis by moveBuddha, an online moving resources and relocation data company. The study found Cape Coral recorded 1.79 inbound move searches for every outbound search during the first quarter of 2026, trailing only Boise, Idaho, and Raleigh, North Carolina. Researchers said Cape Coral’s relative affordability, waterfront lifestyle and retiree appeal continue attracting new residents. The metro’s average home value was listed at $339,621, making it the third most affordable market among the study’s top 10 destinations. Sarasota, Daytona Beach and Orlando also ranked among the nation’s top move-to metros.
