A woman is facing charges in connection with the murder of a man whose naked body was found inside a room at a Holiday Inn near Miami International Airport last year.
Elizabeth Hernandez, 39, was charged last week with first-degree murder, grand theft and fraudulent use of a credit card, Miami-Dade court records showed.

According to an arrest warrant, Miami Springs Police had responded to the Holiday Inn Miami International Airport at 1111 South Royal Poinciana Boulevard on June 20, 2024, after 43-year-old Jason Durrell Anderson was found unresponsive and naked under the bed in room 420.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The body had been found by a maintenance employee who went to the room to repair a telephone line.
Video surveillance showed Anderson on the hotel property with another man and a woman, later identified as Hernandez, the warrant said.
The video showed Hernandez and the other man leaving the hotel carrying several bags including a white/clear plastic bag containing possible bed sheets or towels, and the other man was seen wearing different clothes than when he arrived, possibly Anderson’s clothes, the warrant said.
Blood drops were found on the hotel’s hallway wall and on the bathroom door frame.
Anderson had suffered blunt force trauma, lacerations to his face, and apparent bite marks, and the medical examiner also found Anderson had suffered hemorrhaging in his neck area, the warrant said.
Investigators found that after Anderson was found dead, his debit card was used to make multiple purchases throughout Miami-Dade.
Video surveillance from the locations where the card was used showed Hernandez and the other man using the card, the warrant said.
Anderson had about $6,000 in the account that was completely depleted by June 24, 2024, four days after he was found dead.
Records showed Hernandez was arrested back in July of this year for grand theft of a vehicle. She remains behind bars without bond.
The warrant doesn’t mention whether the other man is facing charges in Anderson’s killing, and he doesn’t appear in Miami-Dade jail or court records.
