ST LUCIE COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — A heavy fire at a St. Lucie County home prompted a large response from fire rescue crews after the house was heavily engulfed in flames Friday morning, according to the St. Lucie County Fire District.
According to the SLCFD, crews arrived at the scene around 7:15 a.m. and found a house with multiple rooms on fire near the corner of Southwest Irving Street and Southwest Ray Avenue with heavy smoke rising from the home.

Firefighters on scene performed a routine fire attack, searching the home and evacuating all surrounding residences, per SLCFD.
SLCFD reported that there were no injuries on scene, although photos show the fire burned a hole into the roof of the home.
The American Red Cross was requested to assist the homeowners with the incident, according to SLCFD.
SLCFD says they’re continuing to investigate the cause of the fire.
