A pedestrian is dead after a fatal hit-and-run crash in Christmas, Orange County early Saturday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
FHP said the crash occurred in a wooded area northeast of State Road 520 and south Colonial Drive at approximately 5:10 a.m. The vehicle involved is a 2020 GMC Sierra.
Post-collision, the driver of the GMC fled the scene on foot, FHP said. The pedestrian was pronounced dead on-scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
