FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — A water main break shut down a major Fort Lauderdale intersection Tuesday morning, causing significant traffic disruptions.
Fort Lauderdale police said all roadways at Cordova Road and Southeast 15th Street were closed in all directions and urged drivers to use alternate routes.
Sky 10 flew over the scene around 9:35 a.m., capturing large amounts of water pouring from the intersection as police blocked surrounding roads.
Separately, the eastbound lanes of the nearby 17th Street Causeway Bridge were closed due to a malfunction, while westbound lanes remained open.
Officials have not said what caused the water main break or bridge malfunction, or when the roadways and bridge will reopen.
