May 19, 2026 – The City of St. Petersburg is developing a Community Urban Agriculture Program to encourage “new food forests” and enhance “existing permitted community gardens throughout the city,” according to a prepared statement. St. Petersburg government staff will seek input at two public informational sessions. The first will be held May 26 at the St. Pete Youth Farm, at 1664 12th Street S., from 10 to 11:30 a.m. The second event is scheduled for June 11 at the Walter Fuller Recreation Center, at 7891 26th Avenue N., from 6 to 7:30 p.m. To learn more, visit this link.
