Jacksonville police have identified a suspect who is believed to be connected to the recent shooting death of a 6-year-old child.
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The Jacksonville Police Department identified a suspect who they believe was involved in the shooting death of a six-year-old on Sunday, May 17.
Officials said they have identified 21-year-old Artavius Dontel Johnson as a suspect.
Johnson was last seen in a white Hyundai Elantra, with an Arkansas license plate that displayed BGP35N.
Police said warrants are being issued for Johnson’s arrest and that he is considered armed and dangerous.
Police were initially called to the 4000 block of South Highway 161 for a “shots-fired call.”
Upon their arrival, they found a 6-year-old boy in a vehicle who authorities said had been shot multiple times.
Anyone who comes into contact with Johnson is asked to call the Jacksonville Police Department.
