JetBlue Airways announced on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, that it will terminate all operations at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport and cut 11 other routes this summer to reallocate its fleet toward an ongoing expansion in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The network shakeup will take effect on July 8, 2026, when the carrier operates its final flight out of the New Hampshire airport, according to statements from airline and airport officials.
The route reductions primarily impact Caribbean and Central American destinations served from East Coast hubs, including five routes out of Newark Liberty International Airport.
JetBlue is dropping its year-round daily service between Manchester and Orlando, alongside seasonal routes to Fort Myers and Fort Lauderdale that were scheduled to return later this year.

Manchester-Boston Regional Airport officials expressed deep disappointment on social media, noting that extensive promotional activities and marketing incentives were insufficient to counteract JetBlue’s recent challenges.
Airport representatives stated that the carrier’s ongoing business difficulties were severely exacerbated by a recent spike in jet fuel prices.
According to Manchester airport head of public relations Christina Lawson, JetBlue accounted for a maximum of 5 percent of the facility’s total traffic, with Southwest Airlines and American Airlines dominating the regional market.
Aviation publication SimpleFlying reported that JetBlue’s flights to Manchester from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport were its least popular routes last year, averaging just 47 passengers per flight.
The broader cuts include lines from Newark to Aruba, Cancun, Punta Cana, Santo Domingo, and Tampa, as well as routes from Orlando to San Jose and San Juan, Hartford to Tampa, and a seasonal suspension from Providence to San Juan.
The strategic shift follows the May 2, 2026, cessation of operations by Spirit Airlines, which prompted JetBlue to immediately acquire vacated gate spaces and increase flights out of Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
“While we know it’s disappointing when JetBlue ends service on a route, this decision will allow us to better align flying with customer demand and strengthen our focus city strategy in South Florida,” JetBlue said in an official statement.
The airline confirmed that all passengers affected by the cancellations will receive direct notifications and hold options for a full refund or alternative flight selections.
