According to a JSO arrest report, the 30-year-old man confessed to sexually assaulting six victims using a weapon. He’s currently facing charges in four cases.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man is behind bars in the Duval County Jail after Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office investigators said he lured multiple women to his Baymeadows condo before sexually assaulting them.
According to separate JSO arrest reports and court records, 30-year-old Brett Pincomb faces several violent felony charges from separate incidents where police say he asked women to meet him at his condo in Jacksonville’s Baymeadows area.
The first report states Pincomb met a woman and planned to meet her at his condo in the Point Meadows Place Condominiums on Wednesday, May 13.
Investigators said Pincomb told the woman to meet him at a specific unit, and when she came to the front door of that unit, he approached her from behind, telling her there were too many people inside that unit, and walking her to a different condo.
Once inside, investigators said the victim described the space to them as smelling like dead animals and very dirty, like a hoarder lived there. The victim then followed Pincomb to the back bedroom.
The details laid out in the arrest report of what happened next were redacted by JSO due to the circumstances still being under investigation, but investigators said a sexual battery occurred, in which the victim said she was fearing for her life, which was interrupted when the victim said an older man, later identified by investigators as Pincomb’s father, entered the apartment and told her to leave.
Pincomb’s father later told detectives he had no awareness of his son’s criminal activity when he entered the condo.
The next day, Thursday, May 14, investigators said Pincomb met another woman under the same circumstances as the woman from the previous day – telling her to meet him at a certain condo at Point Meadows Place.
Once there, investigators said Pincomb was waiting for her on the stairwell, leading her up to a condo. She then followed him to the back bedroom.
The details of what happened next are again redacted because of the investigation, but police said an armed sexual battery occurred, and the victim later ran from the condo before driving home.
Then, on Friday, May 15, investigators said Pincomb sexually assaulted two different women within four hours of each other.
The first reportedly happened around 4:30 a.m. when a woman again arrived to Point Meadows Place. This time, however, police said she believed she was meeting someone else at a different building. When she arrived, investigators said Pincomb approached her and asked for the time, which she gave before continuing to walk towards the elevator.
Investigators said Pincomb followed her to the elevator, pulling a knife on her when the doors closed and demanding she remove her clothes, according to the victim’s statement.
The victim told investigators she pleaded with him not to hurt her before he forcefully took off her clothes while holding the knife close to her body.
The victim told Pincomb she was having a panic attack, investigators said, and asked him to grab something from her purse. When he went to look in her purse, she pressed the elevator call button and screamed that she was being raped, according to the report.
This startled Pincomb, investigators said, and he ran out of sight. The victim then gathered her belongings and went home, later calling the police.
Then, at 8 a.m., another woman met Pincomb under the same circumstances as the first two victims, agreeing to meet him at his condo unit.
She met Pincomb at the unit and followed him inside to the back bedroom. The details of what happened next are again redacted due to the ongoing investigation, but investigators said an attempted armed sexual battery and attempted murder occurred.
When the victim of the elevator attack called police, JSO obtained a search warrant of Pincomb’s condo, finding the smell and appearance inside to be consistent with the “hoarder” description given by the first victim, investigators said.
Pincomb was arrested and investigators said he confessed to sexually assaulting six people with a knife or a taser.
He was booked in the Duval County Jail on four counts of armed sexual battery, two counts of kidnapping, and one count of attempted second-degree murder. He is currently being held on a $750,000 bond.
Pincomb’s next court appearance is June 8.
