I forgot that there was a shutdown. So when I went to Canaveral National Seashore, the park was closed. But what ticks me off is that the boat ramps were open and all the boaters with their kayaks and boats were able to use the park, but no one else could. What makes boaters so privileged that they can use a closed national seashore park? All I wanted to do was do some birding and they wouldn’t even let me walk around.
I’m ticked off at how the magic of the original Magic magically disappears when the season starts. Same old, same old!
So annoyed watching WESH during Sunday Night Football. Tornado warning in Brevard. I’m in Orange and it isn’t even raining. The screen is moving and causing dizziness. Back to NFL, please.
I’m ticked off that Bainbridge Winter Park calls itself “luxury living” while the gym has been half-broken for months and the garage doors stayed open for weeks. Management keeps blaming “vendor issues” with no timeline to fix anything. Residents paying premium rent deserve working amenities and a secure environment, not endless excuses. The online reviews tell the same story — delays, dismissiveness, and frustration. It’s disappointing that a community marketed as “exceptional living” has become an example of exceptional neglect.
The flip side
My annual kudos to our USPS carriers, who have to sort and deliver the massive amount of Medicare/Medicaid brochures until Dec. 7.
Thank you to Zach with Z’s Tree Service. His team did an incredible job of trimming our trees and removing all of the debris for a reasonable price.
