Twin sisters named valedictorian and salutatorian at Tampa high school

Tampa, Fla. (WFLA) — Twin sisters at a Tampa high school are celebrating quite the accomplishment after graduating valedictorian and salutatorian for their class.
Twin sisters Adriana and Alyssa Lyons are graduating top of the class of 2026 at the Academy of the Holy Names, which they have attended since kindergarten, according to a social media post by the school.
In a post on Instagram, the Academy of the Holy Names called this a rare distinction, stating that they are believed to be the first set of twins in the Academy’s 144-year history to graduate as high school valedictorian and salutatorian.
The sisters are planning to pursue degrees in chemistry at the University of Florida Honors Program.
