MT. ORAB, Ohio (WKRC) – The chief financial officer for the Village of Mt. Orab faces voyeurism and child porn charges in Florida.
Michael Boyd, 67, was arrested in Hillsborough County.
On Tuesday, deputies served a search warrant at a home in Lithia. They say they found more than 1,000 files. According to the sheriff’s office, Boyd installed hidden cameras in private areas of the home.
“This man welcomed others into his home while they unknowingly became victims of his disturbing crimes,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “While presenting himself as someone there to help and support those staying in the residence, he secretly installed hidden cameras violating trust and privacy.”
A statement from Mt. Orab Mayor Joe Howser reads in part, “Mike Boyd has been suspended pending investigation in relation to his arrest in Florida, effective immediately.”
