Two men were arrested early Thursday after a break-in at Ameren Illinois’ Jacksonville Operating Center, according to police.

Officers were called about 1:06 a.m. to a theft in progress at the business at 1900 W. Lafayette Ave. They determined property had been stolen and said they found the two “in possession of tools commonly associated with burglary,” according to a police report.

Toby J. Wilson, 26, and Jonathon A. Hall, 33, both of Jacksonville, were arrested on charges of burglary and possession of burglary tools, police said.

Court information about their cases was not yet available.
