After more than two decades on South Howard Avenue in Tampa, Daily Eats will temporarily close its doors on June 15 for a rebrand. Meeting House will take the diner‘s place a few weeks after the closure, a post via the restaurant’s Instagram page said on Thursday.
“Our team is staying together, many guest favorites will remain, and we’re incredibly excited for what’s next,” the post said.
Meeting House will be “centered around lunch, dinner and weekend brunch,” the post said.
Under the Ciccio Restaurant Group banner, the Daily Eats space once housed the South Tampa diner Old Meeting House, which opened in the 1940s. Over the years, Daily Eats cultivated a younger crowd of patrons with a menu of updated diner fare.
The Ciccio Group created concepts like Fresh Kitchen, which is opening a new flagship location on West Kennedy Boulevard in early June; Jay Luigi with locations in South Tampa and St. Petersburg; and Taco Dirty also in South Tampa.
