Port St. Lucie calls on artists to design fairytale-themed park sculpture

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (CBS12) — The city of Port St. Lucie is putting out a call for artists.

The city said in a news release on Friday that it is looking for artists to create a sculpture for the entryway of Torina Regional Park. The sculpture will be located in the park’s roundabout at the main entrance and will feature a fairy tale forest theme to complement the playgrounds. The park will offer recreational activities and preserved natural areas for residents to enjoy.

The city says artist submissions should express the unique identity of Port St. Lucie while also reflecting the “Fairytale Forest” concept.

Visual, craft, and design artists working in any medium who are at least 18 years old and legal residents of the United States are eligible to apply. Installation of the artwork is expected to be completed by June 2027.
