PALM CITY, Fla. (CBS12) — A propane leak inside a restaurant at Martin Downs Village Center prompted evacuations and a hazmat response Friday morning.
The hazmat team with Martin County Fire Rescue says they responded to Martin Downs Village Center just after 8 a.m. on Friday for reports of a gas leak.
The caller told dispatch that a gasoline odor was coming from a business in the plaza, prompting crews to shut off the gas, evacuate the buildings, and ventilate the structures.

Crews reportedly found a propane leak inside Fantini’s Fusion Kitchen and cleared the threat.
