A 15-year-old girl faces an aggravated battery charge after an emergency worker had to be treated for a bite wound.
The teen was being taken by ambulance for a mental health evaluation. Police were called to North Main and West Walnut streets about 9:58 a.m. Wednesday after an Echo Ambulance EMS worker reported being bitten during an altercation with the girl, according to Jacksonville Police Lt. Sean Walker.
The employee was treated for a hand injury.
The juvenile is still being treated, but will be charged after she is released, according to Walker.
