Detectives are working on identifying the other two suspects in this case.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A 14-year-old boy was killed in a shooting Friday evening in St. Petersburg, according to police.

Officers responded just after 6:30 p.m. to the 4200 block of 15th Avenue South, where Gaige Santos-Brown had been approached by three teens. Investigators say shots were fired, critically injuring Santos-Brown. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

Detectives identified 16-year-old Kenneth Washington as one of the suspects. Washington was arrested overnight and charged with felony murder and violation of supervised release.

Police say efforts are ongoing to identify and locate the two remaining suspects.
