A 14-year-old boy was killed in a shooting Friday evening in St. Petersburg, according to police.

Officers responded just after 6:30 p.m. to 15th Avenue South, where Gaige Santos-Brown had been approached by three teens. Investigators say shots were fired, critically injuring Santos-Brown. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

Detectives say they identified a 16-year-old as one of the suspects and arrested him. He is charged with felony murder and violation of supervised release.

Police say efforts are ongoing to identify and locate the two remaining suspects.
