Law enforcement agencies are responding to a barricaded suspect in Jacksonville Saturday.
According to Jacksonville PD, their officers are at a scene at Sweet Union Apartments on Hwy 69 North in Jacksonville. Police said a man assaulted a woman while armed around 4:42 p.m. The woman was able to leave the apartment, while the suspect barricaded himself in the apartment while armed.
As of 7:44 p.m., the scene is still active, according to police. Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office is assisting.
