A 23-year-old man from Hawaii is dead and a 20-year-old man from Pennsylvania is injured after a fatal single-vehicle crash in Orange County early Monday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
For an unknown reason, at approximately 4:37 a.m. a 2024 Honda Civic was traveling westbound on State Road 528 in the area of Universal Blvd, FHP said. For an unknown reason, the vehicle ran off the roadway right, struck a light pole and multiple trees, then overturned.
The man from Hawaii, who was the driver of the Honda Civic, was transported to Dr. Phillips Hospital and pronounced dead, FHP said. The Pennsylvania was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
