That mission has been accomplished, but some tough matchups lie ahead.
The Cavaliers will play in the Hattiesburg, MS regional, hosted by Southern Miss. The Hoos will play Conference USA champs Jacksonville State Friday night at 7 on ESPN2.
After missing the tournament in 2025, first year coach Chris Pollard helped UVa find their footing this year, with a 36-21 record overall.
Jacksonville State (36-13) is fresh off a 10-0 run rule win over Liberty in the Conference USA championship. Southern Miss (44-15) and Little Rock (36-26) round out the bracket.
