MIAMI, Fla. (CBS12) — A portion of Miami International Airport (MIA) was evacuated on the morning of Memorial Day as deputies responded to a report of a suspicious bag.

Officials said that airport authorities temporarily evacuated portions of the North and Central Terminals to ensure the safety of travelers and staff.

The Sheriff’s Office said that the suspicious bag has been cleared.
