Orange County officials are investigating the shooting death of a woman in South Apopka.
On Sunday, around 5:30 pm, deputies responded to the 1300 block of South Central Ave., according to a press release from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrived and found a woman in her 50s suffering from a gunshot wound.
First responders transported her to the hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
Authorities are investigating the shooting, but have no additional information to release at this time.
