ST. LUCIE COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — A Hialeah woman faces multiple felony charges after investigators say she tried to withdraw $8,400 from a St. Lucie County bank using a stolen identity.
According to the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a banking institution around 3:51 p.m. on Friday after receiving reports of a woman attempting to make a fraudulent withdrawal.
Investigators say the suspect entered the bank and filled out a withdrawal slip requesting $8,400, signing the document with a fictitious name. Deputies say she then presented the form to a teller along with a U.S. passport identification card that displayed her photograph, but belonged to another person.

Authorities identified the suspect as 45-year-old Idania I. Diaz Onieva, of Hialeah.
According to investigators, Diaz Onieva was taken into custody without incident and transported to the St. Lucie County Jail.
She is facing charges including possession of a “similitude” card, impersonation, and possession or use of another person’s identification, grand theft, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Officials reminded the public that all suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
