Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested 47-year-old Thomas Banks after they say he admitted to killing a 39-year-old woman on Christmas Day.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man is behind bars after Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office detectives said he turned himself in Tuesday for the shooting death of a woman on Christmas Day 2024.

Detectives arrested 47-year-old Thomas Banks Tuesday morning after they said he turned himself in for the murder of 39-year-old Lisa Santos.

On Tuesday, Banks turned himself in. He is now behind bars at the Duval County jail on a $850,000 bond.
