A Cape Coral man who was arrested in September 2025 on animal abuse charges pleaded no contest on Tuesday and was sentenced to 180 days in jail.According to court notes, Travis Fehr, 27, who was accused of pinning his girlfriend’s cat to the ground and punching it repeatedly, pleaded no contest to two counts of animal cruelty.Fehr was sentenced to serve 180 days in Lee County Jail, followed by four years of probation. Fehr is not allowed to possess any animals while on probation and must register with the animal abuse registry.
