JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – As America’s 250th anniversary inches closer, the city of Jacksonville has released a two-day schedule filled with family-friendly events in downtown Jacksonville.
The city plans to celebrate America’s birthday on Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4.
Friday, July 3: Freedom Fest
Where: Friendship Fountain
When: 5:30 – 10 p.m.
What to expect:
Live music by Bold City Brass, Navy Pride, Sal Gonzalez, Emily Mikus and Big Engine
A patriotic light and music show at the Fountain
Free apple pies for the first 1,000 attendees
Activations along the Riverwalk between the Fountain and Chart House
