INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The 66th annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is underway, showcasing luxury yachts and innovative marine technology.

The event, held in Fort Lauderdale, attracts 100,000 showgoers and contributes approximately $1.8 billion annually to the U.S. marine industry. This year’s theme highlights American-made boats, featuring models like the Tiara 39LS and Hinkley Picnic 39.

“You’re 100% right. It’s all about the incredible boats and marine innovation down here at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show,” said transportation expert Mike Caudill, reporting live from the event.

Among the standout boats at the show is the Tiara 39LS, a day cruiser from Michigan with an outdoor kitchen and a modular design, priced at $1.3 million. Another highlight is the Hinkley Picnic 39, a retro throwback design boat from Maine, featuring three entertainment areas and priced at $2.1 million.

For those seeking luxury, the Pershing GTX-70 offers Italian-inspired design, 72 feet in length, and a price tag of $6 million. The AB110, at 110 feet and 6,000 horsepower, is priced at $18 million.

The Marine Industry Association of South Florida awards the best-selling trophy to boats like the Valhalla, a 55-foot luxury fishing boat priced at $3.6 million, and the Bluegame BGM 75, a 75-foot vessel with four cabins and a water garage, priced at $7.3 million.

A notable technology at the show is the G-Lock stabilization system on the Hinkley, which allows the boat to stabilize itself at the dock or in the water with the push of a button.

The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is open until Sunday, with information available on the FLIBS website and the Marine Industry Association’s site.

The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show continues to be a major event for the marine industry, drawing international attention and showcasing the latest in luxury and innovation.
