WAKULLA COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) – A Tallahassee man is dead after he collided with a tree in Wakulla County early Saturday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the incident occurred at about 1:45 a.m. on U.S. Highway 98 near Hideaway Lane.
The Tallahassee man was driving west on U.S. Highway 98 and was turning on a curve when he failed and instead drove onto the road’s north shoulder. FHP said the driver then collided with a tree.
The man was the only occupant of the SUV and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
FHP says the investigation is ongoing.
