ST. LUCIE COUNTY – Residents and businesses have an opportunity to share their input on the Port of Fort Pierce Master Plan as St. Lucie County hosts a public meeting on the 2026 Port Master Plan update on Monday, June 1 at 5:30 p.m. at the Fort Pierce Yacht Club, 700 N. Indian River Drive, Fort Pierce.
St. Lucie County is updating the 2020 Port of Fort Pierce Master Plan, and wants input from the community. Residents can view a draft of the proposed master plan update at the county’s website: https://www.stlucieco.gov/departments-and-services/county-administration/port-of-fort-pierce/port-master-plan.

The Port of Fort Pierce is one of 16 deepwater ports in Florida. The port area is managed by the St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners and houses its main tenant Derecktor Shipyards, which focuses on the maintenance and refurbishing of large mega yachts.
The 2026 Port of Fort Pierce Master Plan Update builds on the adopted 2020 Master Plan to document the actions, investments, and refinements that are actively advancing the Port’s long‑standing working waterfront vision. This master plan update serves as a supplementary planning document to the 2020 Port of Fort Pierce Master Plan, and reaffirms the core principles established in 2020—flexibility, compatibility of uses, environmental stewardship, and public access—while translating them into an actionable framework shaped by real progress on the ground and rapidly strengthening market demand.
